Quoting Coach Keith Stowe:
"It's always a blessing to get that first win. In my opinion, KCU has one of its best teams in quite a while. They did a great job of pushing the tempo to both the pins. We had a solid performance from everyone. Our two freshman outsides, Emily Janszen and Emma Grace Gray, played like seasoned veterans, and this is the second match in a row we've had one of our freshmen lead the team in digs; Lindsey Castle was solid. Rilee O'Day was able to get the Eagles some aces, and in my mind, she sealed the win with her last Ace in the fifth set. Bethany Fye did a great job at the net blocking and attacking, and Madi Bryant turned in another solid passing
performance. This was a great team effort victory".
Quoting Senior Bethany Fye:
"I think we worked as a cohesive unit for this game. We were all fighting for the same outcome and had enough fire to push to the end."
Top Performers:
Bekah Deich was the unsung hero of the match. She gave a huge boost defensively and from the service line.
Lindsey Castle led the team in 15 digs and continues to have an outstanding performance.
