Lexington, Ky.-- The Eagles tack on another loss by falling to the Transylvania Pioneers 3-0.
Transylvania is one of the first NCAA Division III teams that Asbury has competed against.
In the first period, Asbury held out strong with zero goals allowed to the Pioneers, with a score of 0-0 going into halftime.
Transylvania's first goal occurred just under five minutes of the second half, proceeded by two other goals from the same Transylvania athlete to seal the win.

Asbury now obtains a record of (1-4-0) while the Pioneers' record moved to (4-2-0).
Quoting Senior Amber McIntosh:Â
We came out strong in the first half and did an excellent job of communicating and defending. In the second half, our fitness got ahold of us. I think we have a strong team; we need to connect some pieces. We can only go up from here and continue to grow as a team.Â
Highlights:
Asbury goalie Maliya Crump, who was just awarded with the Lexington Clinic Athlete of the Week, led the game with a total of 10 saves with Transylvania only securing 3.
Sr. Delaney Long led Asbury with a total of 3 shots in the game.
Contributing to the 5 overall shots in the contest was Sr. Olivia Ruckriegel and So. Madie Boehnlein, each with one shot on goal.
