MARION, Ind.-- The Asbury Eagles fell to nationally-ranked Indiana Wesleyan (No.11 NAIA) 7-0 on Saturday, September 18.
Minutes into the first half, the Wildcats had their first goal which was followed by two more going into halftime. The second half's four goals were scored in pairs throughout the rest of the contest.
Asbury now holds a record of (1-6-0) while Indiana Wesleyan secures a (5-2-0) record.
Highlights:
Asbury goalie Maliya Crumps led the game with a total of eight saves, slightly falling shy of her previous game's collected ten saves.
So. Genevieve Hill totaled two shots on goal, improving from the Transylvania game's zero recorded shots.
Eagle's Jr. Lisa Nesselroad, as well as Sr. Delaney Long and Fr. Deidra Long contributed shots on goal for the afternoon contest.
