WALESKA, Ga. – Senior
Aubrey Curell reached 100 career goals in Thursday's contest at No. 3 Reinhardt in AAC conference play.
Curell needed just one goal to reach the century mark and found the back of the net twice to become the second player in program-history to achieve 100 career goals.
The Crestwood, Ky. native joins
Ashley Byrd who was the first 100 career goal scorer in the history of the women's lacrosse program.
AU moves to 3-3 in conference play and 4-6 on the year following its 27-6 loss on Thursday evening.
Curell and
Grace Tatro each scored twice while
Ashley Byrd and
Hannah Biegert each scored one goal apiece.
Asbury was held to only six draw controls, marking a season-low. Curell led the Eagles with five ground balls and five draw controls.
Elle Crossman tabbed nine saves at goalkeeper as Reinhardt fired off 47 shots throughout the game.
Asbury is back in action on Saturday against No. 5 SCAD at home.
