OAKLAND CITY, Ind. – The Asbury University women's basketball team won a hard-fought game 100-91 at Oakland City in overtime on Saturday afternoon.
Asbury improves to 13-5 on the year and wins its final road contest of the regular season at 5-3.

Autumn Herriford had another monster game, leading the Eagles with a game-high 29 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and five steals.

Jaclynn Ruble tallied a season-high 22 points with four made three-point field goals. The Lawrenceburg, Ky. native was perfect at 8-8 from the free throw line and also dished out three assists.

Sarah King collected 16 points on 6-9 shooting, while
Trinity Shearer also reached double figures scoring with 11 points, four assists, and three steals.

Zaria Napier chipped in with six points and nine rebounds and
Sarah Dennison also added six points.
*The Eagles knocked down 17 three-point shots and shot 41 percent from the field.
*AU's defense recorded 18 steals which led to 32 points scored off turnovers in the victory.
*Oakland City shot 45 percent from the field and scored 42 points inside the paint.
Highlights
*An 11-0 run early in the first quarter gave Asbury a 14-7 edge, following a three from
Faith Osborne. The Eagles led 17-11 after the first period.
*Oakland City outscored Asbury 23-22 in the second, but AU rallied back from a 27-23 deficit to take a 39-34 lead at halftime.
*The Eagles led 44-36 early in the third, but the Mighty Oaks would close out the final seven minutes of the quarter on a 21-11 run to take a 57-55 lead going into the fourth.
*Asbury found themselves trailing 74-63 with five minutes left, but quickly closed the gap after three straight threes from Napier, Ruble, and Herriford.
*Back-to-back threes from Shearer put Asbury ahead 80-76 with 90 seconds left, but the Mighty Oaks would knot things up at 80 apiece and forced overtime.
*In overtime, the contest was tied again at 88-88 with 2:25 to go. The Eagles would close the game on a 12-3 run, including an 8-8 effort from the foul line and great team defense.
*Herriford and Ruble combined for 17 points in OT to help the Eagles secure the win.
