Rio Grande, OH- The Asbury men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision at the University of Rio Grande (9-2-1).
"It was a tough loss, but a game at Rio will always be a challenge," said Asbury Men's Soccer Coach, Ben Andrews, "I thought we had some real bright moments. Trey Miller' second half performance in goal was next level, as was some of the guys filling in for our injured regular starters. In the end, we just didn't perform well enough overall."
Rio Grande made its first goal in the first five minutes of the game, which led to a total of two goals going into halftime.
During the second period, Rio shot and scored its third goal within three minutes and the Asbury defense only allowed the competitor a fourth goal in the remaining second half.
Asbury Men's Soccer now holds a record of (2-8-1).
Highlights:
Goalie, Sr. Trey Miller, led the game with a total of 11 saves.
Fr. Alexis Petatan secured two shots on goal.
