WILMORE, Ky. – The Asbury University women's basketball team fell 97-92 in overtime against WVU Tech after a hard-fought game on both ends on Thursday evening at the Luce Center.
Asbury moves to 8-4 on the season and drops its first home game of the year (6-1). WVU Tech is now .500 on the year at 4-4.
The Eagles will return to action in Owensboro, Ky. at Brescia on Saturday at 2 PM EST.

Autumn Herriford led Asbury with a game-high 27 points on 8-17 shooting from the field. The senior also had an exceptional shooting night behind the arc, knocking down six three-point field goals.

*Asbury shot just under 40 percent in the opening quarter and led 22-19 after ending the period on a 10-3 run.
*The Eagles held their largest lead of the contest after two free throws from Taylor to make it 37-30 with under three minutes remaining.
*WVU Tech put together a 12-5 run to end the quarter, but Asbury remained ahead 43-42 at halftime.
*AU struggled in the third quarter and were outscored 30-22. With the contest even at 61 with 2:11 left in the period, the Golden Eagles' 11-4 run gave WVU Tech a 72-65 lead heading into the fourth.
*Asbury trailed 79-69 with seven minutes left, but the Eagles' 11-1 run cut the lead down to just one with under four minutes remaining.
*The Eagles led 88-84 with 1:19 left in regulation, but WVU Tech would knot it up at 88 and forced OT.
