Box Score OWENSBORO, Ky. -- The Asbury University women's basketball team rolled by Brescia University in Owensboro on Saturday by a score of 99-83.
AU bounces back off a tough overtime loss on Thursday and collects its ninth win of the year to improve to 9-4.
Asbury knocked down 21 threes in the victory, marking the second time this season they have made at least 20 threes in a single-game. The Eagles' set a new school record back in November with 22 threes in a single game.
Six Eagles finished in double figures scoring in Saturday's win. Additionally, the Eagles have scored at least 90 points in seven of its 13 games this season.
Autumn Herriford,
Kelsey Johnson,
Faith Osborne, and
Zaria Napier each scored 13 points apiece to lead the way, while
Jaclynn Ruble and
Trinity Shearer each recorded 11 points.
Osborne connected on a team-high four three-point field goals. Herriford, Napier, and Shearer hit three threes each.
Sarah Dennison added seven points and
Paige Taylor scored six in the victory.
The Eagles had a commanding 51-29 lead at halftime and never looked back.
Asbury continued to get after it on both ends to start the second half as they dropped 29 points in the third period and led 80-56.
