WILMORE, Ky. – The Asbury University women's basketball team fell short 103-93 at home on #PackTheLuce Night presented by Chick-fil-A on Tuesday evening in River States Conference play.

The Eagles fall to 15-6 on the year and move to 4-4 in league play. Additionally, Asbury drops to 7-2 in home games this season.
Rio Grande improves to 13-8 and 6-2 in the RSC standings.

*Kelsey Johnson led the AU offense with 29 points and 10 rebounds on 10-21 shooting from the field.

*A back and forth first half saw Rio rally from an early double-digit deficit to take a 44-43 lead heading into halftime
*The Eagles were out-scored 28-21 in the third quarter and 31-29 in the fourth as the Red Storm shot 50 percent from the field in the third period and 67 percent in the final frame.
*All five starters for Rio finished in double figures and Lexi Woods led all scorers with 34 points and 14 rebounds.
*Asbury produced second half points but had trouble consistently getting stops on the defensive end.
*AU erased a 15 points deficit down to six with a 15-6 run at 99-93 with under three minutes to play.
*Rio would score the final four points of the contest and Asbury was unable to connect on a basket the rest of the way.
