Brooke Lincoln

  • Title
    Head Coach

Brooke Lincoln is entering her fourth season as the head coach of the Asbury women's soccer in 2016.

The last two seasons ended as regular season champions in the KIAC for the Eagles but that return trip to the NAIA National Tournament via KIAC Tournament Championship eluded Lincoln and her squad. The Eagles finished 12-5-1 in 2015 and 11-8 in 2014 but were upended in the KIAC tournament in 2014 in the KIAC Championship versus Rio Grande and exited in 2015 in the KIAC semifinals to newcomer West Virginia Tech. During those seasons the Eagles had two Players of the Year in the KIAC (Rachel Bertrand, DPOY - 2014, Teryn Wright, OPOY - 2015) and 14 All-Conference players under the tutelage of Lincoln. Lincoln also collected KIAC Coach of the Year honors in 2013 and again in 2015.

Brooke Lincoln went into 2014 with both a regular season and tournament championship under her belt in 2013, her first year with the program. The Eagles finished the 2013 season 4-16 but went on a run through the playoffs and qualified for the NAIA tournament with a 2-1 win over Point Park in the Championship game.

Lincoln was named just the fourth women’s soccer coach and the first female head coach since the program began in 2001.

Lincoln came to Asbury after serving as a graduate assistant at Belhaven University in Jackson, Miss. In 2012 Lincoln helped Belhaven reach the Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament for the first time after joining the league in 2010. The Blazers finished 8th in the highly competitive conference that had the top seed in the NAIA National Tournament. During Lincoln’s two years with the Blazers, she handled recruiting in the south region as well as in the state of Mississippi. Although a graduate assistant, Lincoln was the only assistant coach on staff and often ran training sessions. She was also charged with coordinating summer camps, bringing in more than 400 campers during the course of the summer as well as 10 teams.

Prior to joining the staff at Belhaven, Lincoln was the head girls’ soccer coach at Terry High School in Terry, Miss., for two years. At Terry, Lincoln guided the squad to the state Final Four for the first time in school history and garnered a ranking as high as No. 6, finishing the year at No. 12.

In addition to her coaching duties Lincoln will also serve as an Assistant Sports Information Director during the spring season.
