Ben Fuqua enters his first season as the head coach for the men's and women's golf teams at Asbury in 2013-14.

Fuqua, a University of Kentucky grad, takes over the role of Head Golf Coach from Athletics Director Mark Perdue, who served in the role as an Interim coach for one season.

Benjamin Walker Fuqua was born in Nashville, Tenn., and raised in Danville, Ky. He is a former KHSAA Individual State Champion and Mr. Golf. He is a graduate of Danville High School were his peers voted him "Most School Spirit". Ben was a Four-Year Letterman at the University of Kentucky. He was Captain of the team for two seasons and MVP during his final campaign.

Ben was two time Academic All-Conference and a member of The University's only Southeastern Conference Championship Team. While at the University of Kentucky Ben reached the top 10 in Golfweek's College rankings. He also holds the University's documented 54-Hole Tournament Scoring Record when he carded a 198 and won the Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate by seven strokes. During his amateur career he earned three USGA Medals as well as competing in three United State Amateur Championships. Since turning professional he has focused on his progression towards the PGA Tour. He has competed in the PGA Tour Qualifying School tournament series three times and U.S. Open Sectionals twice.
