2012 (Freshman): Appeared in all 39 matches with 134 games played...led team in blocks with 77 for the year...finished fifth on team in points...also recorded 181 kills and averaged 1.35 kills per game...

High School: Spent three years on Christian Academy of Louisville's varsity squad...team won Distrcit title in 2011...Newton took home Centurion Award and Most Improved Player Award...played club for MAVA out of Louisville...as part of MAVA 18 Elite team won three tournaments in 2012, MAVA Fireworks Classic, MAVA Open Challenge, MAVA Kick-off Classic.
