Sara Henderson is entering her second year as an assistant with the men’s and women’s swimming programs after spending four years as a student-athlete with the Eagles.

Specializing in distance freestyle, Sara was a three-time NAIA Nationals qualifier for Asbury and consistently placed in the Top 16 at the National Championships. Sara earned recognition as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete during her senior year by maintaining a minimum 3.5 GPA.

In the classroom, Sara studied Elementary and Special Education with an emphasis in Special Education and currently works as a Collaborative Teacher at West Jessamine Middle School. Sara is also on the coaching staff for the East Jessamine High School and West Jessamine High School swimming programs. She resides in Lexington.
