Billington and Burns Collect CCS Second-Team All-Conference Honors
ATLANTA, Ga. ---The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) recently released their 2026 baseball all-conference teams with three AU student-athletes being honored. Senior accounting major Andrew Billington and sophomore media communications major Hank Burns being recognized as Second-Team recipients. Sophomore communications major CJ Hussey was named to the CCS All-Sportsmanship Team.
Billington, a Brentwood, Tenn., native, collected Second Team All-Conference honors as an outfielder for his senior season. He finished with a .351 batting average, while leading the team with 53 hits, 47 runs scored, and 27 stolen bases.
Burns, a Louisville, Ky., native, earned Second Team All-Conference in his second year for AU. He lead the team in batting average at .355, adding 39 hits and 11 extra-base hits.
Hussey, a Schenectady, N.Y., native, was named to the CCS All-Sportsmanship Team, an award that honors one player from each team in the Conference who exudes sportsmanship and honor for the game, while playing at a high level.
