Gassmann Named CCS Track Athlete of the Week
ATLANTA, Ga. --- On Tuesday afternoon, the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) announced its weekly awards, highlighting junior social work and adventure education and leadership major Bailey Gassmann CCS Track Athlete of the Week.
Gassmann, a Churchville, Pa., native, put together a two-event sweep at the Asbury Invite, capturing first place in both the 1,500m and 5,000m. She led a field of 12 runners in the 1,500m with a time of 4:54.70 and followed with a winning mark of 20:10.91 in the 5,000m. Gassmann's performance in the 5,000m also met NCAA qualifying standards.
