Eagles Take Two Wins in Dramatic Fashion; Harris Earns First Career Wins as Head Coach

STORY - THE ESSENTIALS
WILMORE, Ky.--- Asbury baseball (2-0, 0-0 CCS) used timely hitting and clutch at-bats to secure their first two wins of the season in Millington, Tenn., against the Uniervsity of Dallas (0-2, 0-0 SCAC) today 8-5 and 9-8. 

Head coach Wynn Harris earned his first career win in game one of today's doubleheader, after serving the past three seasons as an assistant coach for AU.

Game One | ASBURY 8, DALLAS 5
The Eagles fell behind early as Dallas jumped out to a 4–0 lead, plating runs in the first and second innings.

Asbury responded in the second when Avery Hare launched his first career homerun, a two-run homer to get the Eagles on the board. Aaron Beaman drove in a run in the third to trim the deficit to 5–3.

AU broke the game open in the sixth inning, scoring five runs highlighted by a three-RBI triple from Quinn Nobles that put the Eagles ahead, leading them to a 8-5 win.

Ryan Yates started the game on the mound, going four innings and recoridng four strikeots. Adam Thompson picked up the win in 2.2 innings of relief work, while Brady Robeson earned the save.

Game Two | ASBURY 9, DALLAS 8

After trading momentum early, Asbury took a 5–4 lead in the fourth inning behind RBI contributions from Josh McNulty, Quinn Nobles, Andrew Billington, Edison Burke, and Aaron Beaman.

Dallas regained control with runs in the fifth and sixth, highlighted by Luke Gill's second home run of the game, to go ahead 8–5.

The Eagles answered with a dramatic ninth-inning rally as Beaman's two-run double pulled AU within one, Brady Robeson tied the game with an RBI single, and Edison Burke drew a bases-loaded walk to walk it off, securing a 9–8 comeback win.

Cayden Devine started the game going five innings and recording four strikeouts. Freshmen Levi Rogers and Samuel Marshall came in relief for AU after Devine. Rogers tossed one inning and recorded two strikeouts while Marshall went three scoreless innings securing his first collegiate win.

Asbury and Dallas will face off tomorrow for game three, looking for the sweep at 12 PM EST (11 AM CST) in Millington, Tenn.
