
HARRISON, Ohio.--- Asbury golf junior accounting major Grayson Head took first place out of 89 golfers in the Stateline Shootout at the Miami Whitewater Forest Golf Course in Hamilton, Ohio, over the weekend, finishing at even-par after two rounds (73, 71).

The Eagles finished tied for fifth as a team out of 16 total competing programs, shooting 308 (+20) on day one and 307 (+19) on day two, with a final score of 615 (+39).
AU tied at 39-over par with Franklin and Central State, trailing first-place Shenandoah (+15), second-place Pitt Greensburg (+30), third-place Maryville (+36), and fourth-place MSJ (+37).
Head's one-over day one round (73) placed him in the top-five after day one, two strokes behind the leader at one-under par (71). The Hendersonville, Tenn., native collected six birdies and seven pars on the final day to shoot one-under (71), finish at even-par (144) in the tournament to secure the championship.
He finished the two rounds with eight birdies and 12 pars for his first-ever college golf tournament title. The win comes one year after Asbury won the Stateline Shootout as a team in the 2024 season.
AU sophomore Jackson Raby and freshman Brady Patterson each finished in the top-20 for the Eagles. Raby shot a 76 (+4) on day one, and then scored a 77 (+5) with two birdies in his final round to shoot nine-over (T17) on the weekend.
Patterson finished T20 at 10-over-par after climbing 12 spots in the final day with his three birdies that led to a 75 (+3). He responded after shooting a 79 (+7) on the first day.
