ANDERSON, Ind.--- Asbury volleyball (3-6, 0-0 CCS) had a season-high 53 kills on Saturday afternoon in Anderson, Ind., led by sophomore
Isabelle VandeSchraaf's 23 kills and 13 digs for a 3-1 win over Anderson University (5-4, 0-0 HCAC).
VandeSchraaf hit for a .288 percentage in her third double-double of the season. Freshman biology and match major
Julia Wright had a career-high in both assists (17) and digs (14), for her first career double-double.
Anderson took the first set, 25-18, before Asbury responded with the reverse sweep in the next three sets (25-11, 25-19, 25-19). AU had 43 kills in the final three sets compared to Anderson's 21 kills in those sets.
Asbury also set season-highs in aces (12), digs (79), assists (53), and blocks (8). The Eagles dropped a match at home in 2024 to Anderson, 3-1, and responded on Saturday on the road.
Senior
Riley McChord had 22 digs to reach her season-high so far in the 2025 campaign. McChord, Wright, and
Lucy Kate Gray each had three aces in the match.
Sidney Haysley collected 10 kills, her fourth time this season in double-digit kills. Senior exercise major
Abigail Bruner had a career-high six blocks, followed by
Sophie Glushchak with three and
Megan Schelling with two blocks.
