LOUISVILLE, Ky.--- The Asbury women's soccer team (3-2-1, 0-0 CCS) slipped on the road on Saturday night in Louisville, Ky., to Spalding University (2-3-1, 0-0 SLIAC), 6-0.Â
Spalding struck early, netting a goal in the opening minute and again in the 10th minute to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. The Eagles had two shots in the first half while Spalding had eight shots off.Â
The Golden Eagles extended their lead in the second half with four additional goals, led by multi-goal performances from Emma Livingston and Clara Creg. Spalding's offense put nine shots on goal in the match and held Asbury to no shots on goal.Â

Sheridan Harrison played all 90 minutes, recording three saves.Â
The Eagles earned a pair of first-half corner kicks and kept pace with Spalding in fouls (4-4), but they were unable to break through offensively against a strong Spalding defense.

The Eagles will look to bounce back on Wednesday, Sept. 17, when they travel to Cincinnati, Ohio, to face Mount St. Joseph at 7 p.m.
