CINCINNATI, Ohio.--- The Asbury women's soccer team (3-2-2, 0-0 CCS) battled to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday night at Mount St. Joseph (1-3-2, 0-0 HCAC) in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Asbury's offense was led by sophomore media communications major
Eva De Souza, who put the Eagles ahead in the 25th minute, finishing a pass from freshman exercise science major
Gabriella Albornoz. AU carried the 1-0 lead into halftime.
Mount St. Joseph responded quickly in the second half as Preslee Rugg scored in the 47th minute, leveling the match.Â
MSJ out shot Asbury 14 to six overall and seven to three in shots on goal, but sophomore goalkeeper
Peyton Steiniger led the Eagles defense with six saves across 90 minutes.
