
LEXINGTON, Ky.--- The Asbury men's golf team opened its 2025 campaign in this weekend's two-day 54-hole Transylvania Fall Invite in Lexington, Ky., at the University Club of Kentucky. AU sophomore accounting major Jackson Raby tied for 13th overall (+4) out of 96 golfers, the Eagles finishing 17th of 19 teams at +62 (306, 310, 310).

Raby's second round was his best at one-under par (71), including four birdies and 11 pars. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native's first round was a 74 (+2), and his final round was a 75 at three-over. The tournament winner was six-under, Watcharakan Chankarn from Greensboro, six strokes ahead of second place at even-par.
Transylvania won the tournament at six-over par, followed by McDaniel (+9) and Rose Holman (+11) in second and third place.
Freshman sport management major Brady Patterson finished second on Asbury's team at 19-over par (77, 79, 79). Junior Gideon Coleman finished 20-over (76, 79, 81), after three birdies and nine pars in his opening round.

Asbury will travel to Union Grove, Ala., on September 6 for their next matchup at the Spalding Roger Lundy Alabama Invasion.
