MARYVILLE, Tenn.--- Asbury baseball (5-19, 1-10 CCS) freshman Christian Ministries major
Evan McClain had a three-hit day on Saturday in Maryville, Tenn., but the Eagles fell to the reigning Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Champions, Maryville College (21-8, 8-1 CCS) 4-0 in game one and 10-0 in game two to complete the series.
Maryville out-hit AU 24-11 on the day and took the error margin with two total errors while the Eagles had three errors. Sophomore
Ryan Yates went 6.0 innings with only two earned runs for Asbury in game one of the day, one outing after his gutsy 8.0 innings at Piedmont for the win last weekend.
Game One | MARYVILLE 4, ASBURY 0
The first game of the day saw only two runs through the first five innings. Yates allowed eight hits, two walks, and struck out two in six innings.
Maryville used three of their 10 hits in the third inning to score two runs, going ahead 2-0. The Scots added two more in the sixth during Yates' last inning of work, capitalizing on two of three Asbury errors in the game, 4-0.
The Scots' starting pitcher, N. Mirabella, took his fourth win of the season with a complete game allowing four hits, one walk, no runs, and striking out five. McClain,

Game Two | MARYVILLE 10, ASBURY 0
Maryville went ahead 4-0 early in game two after four hits in the second to send four across home plate. The Scots had 14 hits in the game while Asbury had seven hits but were held off the scoreboard with eight runners left on base.

Ben Propes got the start for AU and went 2.2 innings with two strikeouts and four runs. C. Jinks pitched a complete game for the Scots, going 8.0 innings with no runs and eight strikeouts in the shortened eight-inning game.

Hank Burns each had two hits in the game to combined for six of the seven Asbury hits.

Devin Walker gave Asbury 2.0 innings of one-hit work with no walks and no runs out of the bullpen.
