NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. --- The Asbury men's tennis (11-2, 6-0) claimed the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Regular Season Champion title today, sweeping Maryville 7-0, while the AU women's team (11-4, 6-1) clinched the No. 2 seed defeating the Scots 7-0 on Senior Day.

Megan Moore were honored for their contributions to Asbury Athletics and the tennis program.

Asbury completed a clean sweep over Maryville winning all doubles and singles matches on Senior Day.
Ignacio Ardiles and
Franco Patino paired up for the No. 1 doubles win, taking the match 6-2.
Ben Moore and
Andres Caceres teamed up for the No. 2 doubles win in a dramatic 7-6 (7-3) victory. In the No. 3 match it was
Gregorio Bustingorri and
Alejandro Caceres taking their match 6-2.
AU continued their success in singles matches.
Alejandro Caceres played in the No. 1 match, winning 6-3, 7-5.
Andres Caceres and
Ignacio Ardiles didn't drop a point each winning 6-0.
Alejo Britos rounded out the day for AU claiming victory 6-1, 6-1.
Asbury was crowned the official CCS Regular Season Champions in their first season a part of the conference and will be the one-seed into the conference tournament.
"I am incredibly proud of the run that both of these teams have made this year in the CCS. We did it the hard way with a lot of travel and playing in some tough places to play on the road. Even though none of our current players had ever played in a conference, they have handled the additional pressure with strength. We are ready to face the continued challenges in our conference tournament next week in Chattanooga."

The women continued their successful season claiming the No. 2 spot in the CCS Tournament after the 7-0 win over Maryville today.
In the No. 1 doubles match it was
Katherine Nova and
Martina Paillet securing a 6-4 win.
Kourtney Kawata and
Megan Moore helped grab the doubles point taking down the Scots in the No. 2 match, 6-2.
Katherine Nova moved to a perfect 14-0 on the regular season in the No. 1 singles spot with a 6-2, 6-2 win.
Ariadna Zegarra and
Martina Paillet claimed the No. 2 and 3 matches by scores of 6-1, 6-3 and 6-0, 6-1.
Malory Watkins aided the Eagles winning her match 6-0, 6-0 to help AU take the doubles point.

The men will gear up for their season finale against Sewanee in Danville, Ky., on Saturday, while the women will begin preparation for the CCS Tournament starting April 24.
