JACKSON, Miss.--- Asbury women's tennis (4-1, 1-0 CCS) took a 7-0 win against Belhaven University (1-6) in their first-ever Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) matchup and also took a 5-2 non-conference win over Millsaps College (0-4) on Saturday in Jackson, Miss., hosted by Belhaven.
Match One | ASBURY 7, BELHAVEN 0
The Eagles swept the No. 1 singles match with a 6-0 win from
Katherine Nova and
Martina Paillet. AU No. 2 doubles team
Ariadna Zegarra and
Mikaela West earned a 6-1 win as well.
Nova, a recent CCS Rookie of the Week, also swept the No. 1 individuals match over Belhaven, 6-0, 6-0.
Malory Watkins and
Mikaela West also swept the No. 4 and No. 5 matches. AU took all six indivudals matchups.
Match Two | ASBURY 5, MILLSAPS 2
Nova and Zegarra soared again in the No. 1 doubles match, taking a 6-1 win over Millsaps. The Eagles No. 2 and No. 3 teams also took their doubles matches, including Paillet, Watkins, West, and
Kourtney Kawata.
Paillet and Watkins took key No. 3 and No. 5 close singles matches for AU, Paillet 7-6, 6-5, and Watkins 7-6, 6-2. Nova and Zegarra also earned the No. 1 and No. 2 indivuals wins for Asbury.

AU will play Centre College on March 12 at 4 pm in Danville, Ky.
