Mayes Named CCS Women's Basketball Coach of the Year
ATLANTA, Ga.--- Asbury women's basketball head coach Chad Mayes was named the 2025 Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women's Basketball Coach of the Year on Tuesday afternoon.

In Asbury's first season in the CCS, Mayes led the Eagles to a 17-8 overall record and a 14-2 conference mark, securing a share of the Regular Season Championship. Under his leadership, Asbury set a program record with 12 consecutive wins during conference play. Mayes became the all-time winningest coach in program history, surpassing 121 career victories.
His squad ranked fourth in the CCS in scoring and second in points allowed per game, finishing the season with a +10.2 scoring margin (2nd in CCS). The Eagles also led the conference in three-pointers made, steals (369), and steals per game (14.8).
Asbury is the second-seed heading into the conference tournament with a face-off on Friday night at 7 PM against Belhaven University for a spot in the CCS Championship game on Saturday on the line.
