NICHOLASVILLE, Ky.--- The Asbury women's tennis team (2-1) opened their 2025 spring season on Saturday afternoon at Top Seed Tennis Club in Nicholasville, Ky., taking a 6-1 win over Greenville University (3-4) and then slipping in a tight match with the reigning Ohio Collegiate Athletic Conference (OCAC) champion, Ohio Northern University (2-0), 4-3.
Asbury freshman marketing major
Katherine Nova went 2-0 on the day in the singles No. 1 spot for AU, and also assisted her junior teammate
Ariadna Zegarra in a No. 1 doubles win against Greenville.
Senior media communications major
Kourtney Kawata and Zegarra also went 2-0 each in singles matches, Zegarra in the No. 2 spot and Kawata playing in the No. 5 position.
