Bluegrass Orthopaedics Student-Athletes of the Week
WILMORE, Ky. --- Asbury men's cross country junior media communications major,
Jojo Ernst, and womens soccer sophomore sport management major,
Peyton Steiniger, have been named the Asbury Student-Athletes of the week, presented by Bluegrass Orthopaedics Sports Medicine.
Jojo Ernst | Men's Cross Country
Ernst, a Mount Vernon, OH., native, ran his fastest time ever at the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Championship with a time of 28:27.92, to claim 18th place. The AU men's team will compete in the NCAA DIII Great Lakes Regional on November 15 at 10 am in Louisville, Ky.
Peyton Steiniger | Women's Soccer
Steiniger, a Middletown, OH., native, highlighted the week with nine saves in Saturday's win 3-1 win over Covenant in the CCS Quarterfinals. She followed that up with a career-high 18 saves and deflected two penalty kicks in a win over Maryville in the CCS Semifinals. The Eagles will play Belhaven University on Saturday afternoon at 2 pm for the CCS Finals.
