Asbury Back-to-Back CCS Regular Season Champions; Sweep LaGrange and Wesleyan

STORY - THE ESSENTIALS
LAGRANGE, Ga. --- Asbury volleyball (20-7, 15-1 CCS) won their second consecutive Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Regular Season Championship on Saturday in LaGrange, Ga., after sweeping LaGrange (11-18, 9-6 CCS) and Wesleyan (4-21, 2-13 CCS), for their 10th and 11th straight victories. 

AU finishes the regular season with the same CCS record they had in the 2024 season, 15-1 in conference play. The Eagles are now 30-2 in their first two regular seasons competing in the CCS, and have won 33 of their last 34 sets. 

As the No. 1 seed, Asbury will host the 2025 CCS Tournament on their home court in Wilmore, Ky., on November 14-15. More information about the CCS Tournament can be viewed here.

Sophomore equine science major Isabelle VandeSchraaf had 16 kills and 16 digs on the day. Freshman Julia Wright had 30 assists and three service aces in the two final regular season contests of the season.

Match One | ASBURY 3, LAGRANGE 0
AU hit over .300 for the eighth time this season in game one, using 44 total kills for three set wins (25-20, 25-16, 25-23). 

Asbury had seven service aces and five blocks to contain LaGrange on their home court. McKenna Rumage had three of those blocks for Asbury. 

Match Two | ASBURY 3, WESLEYAN 0
The Eagles hit above .300 a second time on the day to reach nine on the season, with 35 kills and only 13 errors. AU won the three sets over Wesleyan, 25-6, 25-14, 25-11).

Sophomore Emma Dean had seven service aces alone in the match, leading Asbury's second-most of the season at 20 total aces.
