WILMORE, Ky. --- Asbury men's soccer (6-6-4, 0-3-3 CCS) fell on Saturday afternoon in Wilmore, Ky., to Covenant College (8-5-3, 5-1 CCS), 5-0, in their final 2025 regular season game.
Covenant secured a Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Regular Season Championship with their win over AU. The Scots scored five goals in the match, two in the first half and three in the second half.
Asbury took six shots in the match and put four on goal, but Covenant held the Eagles scoreless.
Eli Redpath,
Jacob Graston,
Aiden Fish, and
Jon Gordon each had a shot on goal for AU. Covenant goalkeeper Eli Honeycutt had two saves to earn the clean sheet.
The Eagles had five corner kicks while Covenant had two corners. A total of 24 fouls were called in the game, 16 against Asbury and eight on the Scots. Yellow cards were given to
Nathan Haglund,
Eli Redpath, and
Jon Gordon.
Asbury will not compete in the CCS Tournament after finishing the season in seventh place in the conference. The Eagles will look toward an upcoming announcement of playing in the National Christian College Athletics Association (NCCAA) Mideast Regional.
