LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga.--- Asbury women's soccer team (8-5-2, 4-2 CCS) was edged 2-0 on the road Wednesday night at Covenant College (4-8-2, 3-2-1 CCS) in Lookout Mountain, Ga.
The match was scoreless through the opening 45 minutes before Covenant scored in the 53rd minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Scots then extended their lead just four minutes later to make it 2-0.
Covenant outshot AU 16-14, with Covenant putting nine shots on target and the Eagles placing five on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper
Peyton Steiniger recorded eight saves in goal over 90 minutes.
Senior biology major
Hannah Muncie led the Eagles with four shots and three on goal, while sophomore biology major
Lauren Davis added two shots, including one on goal.
The Eagles held a slight advantage in fouls, with eight given to Covenant and five to AU.

Madison Andrews,
Tallulah Lafferty, and
Maggie Perry each played the full 90' minutes in the contest.
Covenant received three cards in the second half, including a red card.
