MARYVILLE, Tenn. --- Asbury men's soccer (6-4-3, 0-2-2 CCS) suffered a comeback defeat on Wednesday in Maryville, Tenn., at Maryville College (6-3-5, 2-1-1), 3-1, in a Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) road matchup.
Both teams were scoreless in the first half, despite AU getting three shots off and the Scots five shots. The Eagles got on the board first, a goal in the 58th minute by freshman marketing major
Eli Redpath (6).
Maryville responded to the Asbury lead with a goal three minutes later in the 63rd minute, and then two more goals in the 68th and 81st minutes, 3-1.
The Scots got off 17 total shots in the match, with six on goal. Asbury took six shots with three put on goal, led by Redpath with two on goal and one shot on goal from
Nathan Haglund.

Crosby Short had three saves in his 90 minutes in front of goal. Alone Biger had two saves for Maryville, as the Eagles scored one of their three chances on goal.
Each team had only two corner kicks in the match. The Eagles were called for seven fouls; five were given to Maryville.
Josue Twizere was given two yellow cards, resulting in a red card in the 75th minute.
