WILMORE, Ky. --- Asbury junior business administration major
Peyton French had a season-high six saves as the AU men's soccer (6-4-4, 0-2-3 CCS) tied in a scoreless match on Saturday afternoon's senior day contest against CCS opponent LaGrange College (4-3-8, 0-1-4 CCS), 0-0.
The Asbury men's soccer program honored and celebrated its 2025 senior class pregame, including
Victor Talemwa,
Jon Gordon,
Pascal Muller, Ethan Kreisch, and
Crosby Short.
Both teams combined for 25 total shots, included 16 combined shots on goal. The squads were even at eight shots on goal apiece, with Asbury getting the overall shot edge at 14 and LaGrange at 11 shots.
French's six saves provided his second consecutive conference clean sheet, after shutting out Belhaven in Wilmore a week ago. He was named the CCS Defensive Player of the Week earlier in the week.
Freshmen duo
Eli Redpath and
Tyson Absher each had two shots on goal for Asbury. Sawyer Williams earned the clean sheet for LaGrange, securing four saves in the match.
AU received two yellow cards and 10 fouls, cards going to
Jon Gordon and
Peyton French. LaGrange had one yellow card given to them, and were called for six fouls.
The Eagles have now tied four times in the season, three of those coming in CCS play.
