WILMORE, Ky.--- On Saturday the men's and women's swim teams travelled to Lindsey Wilson, to take on LWC and UT-Southern. Both teams defeated UT-Southernm but fell to Lindsey Wilson on the weekend.
Ethan Bonow won both of his individual events (the 100 and 200 butterfly) and helped two of AU men's relays to 2nd place finishes. Also on the men's side, Braden Vincent had a great race to win the 100 freestyle.
On the women's side we were very consistent. Ruthie Ward secured 2nd in the 100 butterfly and helped two of AU's women's relays to top-3 finishes. Joy Killingsworth also had a great day with three top-three finishes in her individual events (the 100 and 200 breaststroke and the 200 IM).

"Our meet against Lindsey Wilson and UT-Southern was a really interesting one. As we close in on the end of our season, I was really encouraged by the way we raced, the way we were aggressive with our race plans, and the way our swimmers responded to challenges from the coaching staff. We're still learning and we're still growing, but I was encouraged by our performance in Columbia and I'm excited for the end of the season!"
Graham Duncan | Asbury Swimming Head Coach
"I felt like we worked really hard and gave 100% effort in our races. The bleachers were hardly filled during the meet, because everyone was out encouraging each other when they weren't racing which was really sweet to see."
