WILMORE, Ky.--- Asbury men's soccer (2-0) took their second straight win to open the 2024 season on Wednesday night against the Mt. St. Joseph Lions (0-2) in Wilmore, Ky., at the Asbury Soccer Field.

Ryan Kim striking the first goal at 09:57, thanks to a crisp assist from
Salat Kipterit. Kim's goal marked the 10th of his Asbury men's soccer career, after four in 2023 and five in 2022.
AU doubled their advantage when sophomore sport management major
Jason Flaming found the back of the net at 35:18, once again assisted by Kipterit. The Mount Lions managed to narrow the gap in the second half, but Asbury held on to secure the win, bolstered by solid defensive play and aggressive offense.
Salat Kipterit was recognized as the Player of the Match for his pivotal contributions, providing two assists that shaped the outcome of the contest.
