RICHMOND, Ky.--- The Asbury men's tennis and women's tennis teams picked up where they left off in 2023-2024, each taking a sweep against Berea College on Friday night in Richmond, Ky., 7-0.
The competition comes after an AU men's tennis opening weekend of winning 21 of their 26 matches against Transylvania and Wittenberg University. Both Asbury teams will begin their opening seasons in the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) with high hopes in the spring semester of this school year.
The AU women's tennis team is coming off an almost perfect 2023-2024 season, going 14-1 and being named the Asbury Women's Team of the Year. The men's team thrived last season as well, going 11-5 with a nine-game winning streak.
