NEW CONCORD, Ohio,.--- The Asbury men's soccer team (2-1-1) rallied from behind for a hard-fought 2-2 draw against the Muskingum Muskies (2-1-2) in New Concord, Ohio, on Wednesday night.
The match began on a challenging note for Asbury, with Muskingum taking an early lead and extending it to 2-0 before the second half. It wasn't until the later stages of the contest that the Eagles staged a stunning comeback.

This 10-minute burst transformed the dynamics, showcasing Asbury's resilience and determination under pressure led by experienced upperclassmen.

Crosby Short had a season-high two saves, contributing to the draw while also playing the entire 90 minutes along with teammates Ismail,
Aiden Fish, and
Andrew Boehnlein.
Besides their solid defense, the Eagles were formidable in offense in the second half, firing 16 shots. Overall, Asbury attempted 21 shots during the match and secured 12 corners, doubling Muskingum's total.
Looking forward, Asbury, now standing at a record of 2-1-1, will host Warren Wilson in Wilmore, Kentucky, on September 14, 2024, aiming to capitalize on the momentum from a gutsy second half on the road.
