NEW CONCORD, Ohio.--- Sophomore business administration major
Quinn Nobles had a homerun, triple, and double on Wednesday night but Asbury baseball (20-17) slipped in their regular season finale in New Concord, Ohio, against Muskingum University (19-17), on a final out at the plate in the ninth inning, 12-11.
Both teams combined for 32 hits with AU having 13 and committing four errors. AU led 10-8 in the eighth before Muskingum added four in the bottom of the eighth and cut AU off at one run in the ninth to end the game.
Nobles was a single shy of the triple in three-RBI game where he blasted his third home run of the season.
"Our offense produced very well today but we were not able to make enough plays to take the win. Credit to Muskingum for their really solid competition and performances both days. We will continue to work hard to be ready for postseason."
