Andrew Billington combined for four of Asbury's 10 hits on Wednesday in Oakland City, In., but AU basball (20-18) was held off against Alice Lloyd College (18-33) in the opening game of the NCCAA Mideast Regional, 5-3.

Eli Wilder got the start for AU with five strikeouts, six hits, and four earned in five innings of work. AU scored the first run of the game but were held scoreless for the next five until adding one in the seventh and ninth. Alice Lloyd had nine hits with an error while AU had 10 hits with an error.
"Our bullpen came in and did a really nice job of holding the score to give our offense a chance. The defense played well and 10 hits were just not timely like we needed. We will re-set and be ready to go on Thursday."
