WILMORE, Ky..--- Asbury senior exercise major
Colton Perkins' two-hit and three RBI night led Asbury baseball (5-4) to a 13-7 win on Monday night against Berea College in Wilmore, Ky.

Holten Handel got his first win of the season with 2.1 innings pitched including one earned run and a strikeout. AU had 10 hits in the game, their third game out of the first nine with double-digit hits.
"We saw some really good at-bats from a lot of our guys today. Our staff came together to get outs and that is what we need as we continue to move forward."

* Colton Perkins went 3-4 with three RBIs, two runs scored, two HBP, and a stolen base
* Jackson Cole and Cam Weaver each had a double, Cole scoring twice with an RBI and Weaver scoring once with two RBIs
* Kaden Dugle had a hit with two walks and three runs scored to lead the team
* Quinn Nobles tied Perkins in RBIs with three, all coming off a bases clearing triple
* Holten Handel got his first win of the year off 2.1 innings, allowing one run with a strikeout
* Matthew Johnson had a hit with two runs scored
* Noah Brown had a double with an RBI
* Eli Wilder went 2.2 innings with three strikeouts and three hits
* Asbury had a five-run first inning off one hit
* Berea scored five straight runs in the third and fifth to cut down their deficit to 5-6
* AU added six in the fifth and on ein the sixth to extend the lead
* The Eagles have double-digit hit games out of nine this season
* This was the first official home game for Asbury this season

* AU had 10 hits, Berea committed six errors
* Asbury worked five walks and only gave up two

Asbury will return home on Saturday afternoon in Wilmore, Ky., at Cecil Zweifel Field to host Wittenberg University at 12 and 3 pm for a doubleheader.
