HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.--- Asbury men's tennis (6-2) and women's tennis (7-0) completed the Hilton Head week sweep (10-0), winning the womens' match 8-1 and the men's match 7-2 on Friday evening against Illinois Tech.
The Eagles began the run last Thursday at Brevard College taking a road win, then won two matches Monday, four matches Wendesday, two matches Thursdsay, and now two matches Friday to win their last 12 matches combined.
The AU women's team remains 7-0 in the 2024 season while the men's squad moves to 6-2.

Doubles mathes powered by AU women's tennis, taking all three competitions.
Ariadna Zegarra and
Fernanda Heredia led with a sweep of the No. 2 matchup.
In singles AU took five of the six matches, powered by
Malory Watkins winnings the No. 6 match and
Megan Moore taking the No. 2 matchup.

AU men's tennis took two of the three doubles matches, led by
Alejandro Caceres and
Gregorio Bustingorri sweeping the No. 3 matchup, 8-0.
AU won five of the six singles matches, featuring
Alejo Britos taking the No. 6 match and
Ben Moore winning No. 2 singles.

* Andres Caceres and Ben Moore took a doubles win together and then each took their singles matches
* Fernanda Heredia took a doubles win (sweep) with Ariadna Zegarra and then Heredia took a key singles win

* Asbury tennis finished the week in Hilton Head 10-0, moving to 12 straight wins

Both teams will travel to Franklin, In., next Wednesday to play Frankling College at 3 pm.
