WILMORE, Ky.--- Trinity Shearer scored 25 points on Tuesday afternoon to help propel Asbury women's basketball (8-7) to a 80-52 win over the College of the South (2-10).

Trinity Shearer led the Eagles with 25 points (11-17 FG), seven assists, and five steals

Camryn Preston scored 13 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and came away with two steals

Haleigh Releford tallied 12 points, seven rebounds, and three steals

Morgan Flannery added seven points and three asissts

Spencer Harvey recorded five points, four rebounds, and five steals
* Sewanee's Olivia Falvey led the team in scoring with 13 points and added eight boards
* AU shot 41% from the field and 29% from 3 PT
* The Tigers shot 36% from the field and 36% from 3 PT
* The Eagles turned Georgetown over 34 times, grabbing 23 steals
* AU totaled 38 points in the paint, the Tigers scoring 16
* Asbury shot 21-41 (51%) from the field in the second half
* There was only one scoring change throughout the game
* AU's bench added 18 points, Sewanee's gave 16
* The first half was low scoring, featuring a 27-21 game into the break
* The Eagles offense exploded in the second half, scoring 26 and 27 in back to back quarters
* Nine different players scored for AU
* The Eagles only turned the ball over 10 times in the game
* Asbury now has recorded 237 STL for the season to lead all the NCCAA
* Asbury continues its pesky defense with 23 steals
* AU edged Sewanee in the rebounding department, 34-33
* The Eagles won every quarter throughout the match

We are getting better every game and now we just have to keep working hard and improving each time out. Individually, we are getting stronger as well. That's what makes us better as a team."
