Asbury Athletics Honors 37 Graduating Scholar-Athletes
WILMORE, Ky. --- Asbury Athletics announces 37 graduating Scholar-Athletes, over 10% of the entire 2023 class. To be eligible for this honor student-athletes must have maintained an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher during their undergraduate studies at Asbury University.
TeamAU graduating Scholar-Athletes were honored with an AU Scholar-Athlete lapel pin (located to the right) that they will have on during commencement services and will be able to keep. Asbury University Commencement Services will take play Saturday, April 29 in the Asbury Luce Center at 10 am (College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences, Dayton School of Business) and 2:30 pm (School of Communication Arts, School of Education, Shaw School of Sciences).

"Our Scholar-Athletes embody what it means to be a "student-athlete." They have achieved academic excellence as a student while balancing that with the rigor of being a collegiate athlete", said Faculty Athletics Representative Dr. Emily Walsh. "This is no small feat, and our faculty celebrate this wonderful academic accomplishment with our Scholar-Athletes. We look forward to the impact they will each have as they go out from Asbury."
Alongside 37 Scholar-Athletes being announced, many student-athletes were highlighted on April 17 in the Academic Honors Convocation Chapel for their performances in the classroom. Student-athletes received recognition from their professors for their commitment and efforts put into academic studies during their time at AU.
Asbury Athletics is extremely grateful and proud of the work these student-athletes have contributed and the way they represent Asbury University.
