CEDARVILLE, Oh. --- Asbury Men's and Women's tennis teams traveled to take on Cedarville University. The men's team found a win after a shutout against the Yellow Jackets, 7-0, while the women's team fell to CU, 7-0.
Gregorio Ingles and
Alejandro Caceres took the No. 1 doubles match (6-4).
Joseph Lewis and
Franco Patino took the No. 2 doubles match after winning the tiebreaker 7-4, and winning the match 7-6.
Yuri Tirado and Igancio Ardiles took the No. 3 doubles match (6-4).
The rest of the men's team went on to win their matches, resulting in a 7-0 shutout for AU. Men's tennis moves to a 9-3 record.
The women's team struggled to find any victories over their opponents and fell to Cedarville, 9-0.
Kourtney Kawata and
Megan Moore fell in the No. 1 doubles match in a close match, 7-5.
Moore competed in the No. 1 singles match and fell in the first set, 6-1, and began to find momentum in the second, but was unable to grab the win, falling 6-4.
In the No. 4 singles match,
Fernanda Heredia fell 7-5 in set one, and came back and tied set two, only to lose 7-4 in the tiebreaker. Women's tennis moves to a 3-5 record.

The men's team will face Covenant College on Friday, April 21st in Lookout Mountain, Ga. Their matches will begin at 4 PM. The women's team will take on Earlham College on April 15th in Lexington, Ky. at 1 PM.
