Women's Basketball | NCCAA Regional Tournament Final (Winner goes to National Tournament)

Asbury women's basketball (16-10) excelled past Kentucky Christian on Friday night in the NCCAA Mideast Regional Semifinal to earn their spot in the championship game on Saturday against Alice Lloyd College (19-8). 

The championship matchup will be the third meeting between the teams this season, this time for an automatic bid to the NCCAA National tournament. ALC took game one on their home court in double overtime while AU defeated ALC in Wilmore, Ky., by five in November. 

Asbury saw their opponent commit 28 turnovers turnovers on Friday night and were led in steals by Haleigh Releford with seven and Trinity Shearer with five. Shearer leads the team with 69 steals on the season, Releford right behind with 64. 

Alice Lloyd advanced to the River States Conference semifinal game before falling to Midway on February 25, 60-76. 

AU leads the overall series 19-18 since 2006 between the two programs, looking to gain their 20th win over Alice Lloyd for a spot in the NCCAA National Tournament.

Men's and Women's Track and Field

Asbury men's and women's track and field competes in their third meet of the 2023 season in Mount Berry, Ga., hosted by Berry College. AU has seen success in their first two meets of the year, led by first year head coach O'Brian Bridges. 

22 schools will compete in the meet hosted by Division III program Berry College. Asbury is sending male and female student-athletes to represent AU on the day. 

The Asbury track and field program is in its first season returning to action with a new head coach, a new outdoor venue in process of construction and much excitement to go with it.

SU Alabama Invasion | Hosted by Spalding University | 3/4-3/5/2023 | Men's and Women's Golf

Asbury men's and women's golf travel to Union Grove, Al., for their first competition of the spring 2023 season. The tournament will be hosted by Spalding University at the Cherokee Ridge Golf Club.

The Asbury men's team is coming off their NCCAA National Championship performance in the fall where they finished in sixth place after taking home the title in 2021.
