MIDWAY, KY. --- Asbury men's tennis hit the road to take on familiar face Midway University on Wednesday afternoon.
AU's six game win streak was snapped by Midway in a 6-1 loss.
The Asbury men's tennis team was coming off of a strong six game win streak after winning all four games over spring break.
AU's match against Midway was the Eagles' first loss to Midway in program history, previously sweeping Midway every game.
It was
Joseph Lewis and
Franco Patino to win Asbury's No. 2 doubles match over Midway, taking the victory 6-4.
Because the teams played by NAIA rules due to Midway hosting, Midway earned one point by winning the majority of the doubles matches.
Veteran
Gregorio Ingles went on to dominate his singles match, winning the No. 1 spot 6-3, 6-0.
The Eagles move to 8-2 on the spring season.
