Asbury women's basketball (14-9) will continue their home stretch on Tuesday night as they host Kentucky State (14-9) in the Luce Center for a 6 pm tip-off.
The two programs have met up once before, last season when Asbury defeating Kentucky State on their home court, 76-69. Both teams are sitting at 14-9 and have been playing very well as of late.
Asbury has won four consecutive games, not losing a game in the month of February. Kentucky State has won eight of their last ten since January 9th.
AU is coming off a strong showing last Wednesday night in the Luce Center when they defeated Campbellsville-Harrodsburg 80-67. Senior guard
Jaclynn Ruble led the way for the Eagles with 27 points and 10 rebounds, her first double-double of the season Ruble sits just three points shy of 1,000 career points at AU going into Tuesday's game.
Kentucky state is led in scoring by junior guard Hilani Cantone, averaging 11.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Sophore guard Taleah Dilworth for the Thorobreds is coming off a 21 point night this past Saturday where she led Kentucky State to a win over Central State.
Asbury will look to take win number 15 on the season tonight as the play their first of two remaining home games to finish the regular season.
