Dakota Walden scored a season-high 29 points while the Eagles (8-4) made 10 threes in Hanover, In., on Tuesday afternoon, but slipped to Hanover College (8-4) after 10 lead changes and 10 ties, 75-87. Asbury led for over eight minutes in the second half against a Hanover team that is now 5-0 on their home court, 9-3 last season at home, and 4-0 in the Heartland Conference.
* Dakota Walden scored a season-high 29 points (12-21 FG) with three made threes, seven rebounds, and four assists. He's averaging 25 points and 5.6 rebounds over the past three games
* Ben McNew was the other Eagle in double-digits, scoring 12 points with three made threes, a rebound and a steal
* Caleb Wallis and Clayton Winter both scored nine points. Winter grabbed 10 rebounds with three assists and a steal, one game after his record-breaking 32 boards
* Aden Slone scored seven points with three boards and three assists
* Cayden Lancaster, Tyler Hall, and Bryce Snellen each scored three points. Lancaster grabbed three boards with a block
* Hanover's Ty Houston scored 21 points with nine rebounds
* AU made 14 field goals in each half, shooting 40 % from the field on the day
* AU went into the break leading Hanover 36-35
* Hanover won the rebound matchup 43-32
* AU led over eight minutes in the second half, there were 10 lead-changes and 10 ties in the back-and-forth battle
* Hanover had won each of their past four games by more than 25 points
* Both teams committed 12 turnovers
* This was the first matchup between the two teams in over 10 seasons, the first since AU entered Division-III
* Eight Asbury players scored in the game, five Hanover players were in the double-digits
