WILMORE, Ky.--- Graduate guard Dakota Walden and junior forward Clayton Winter powered Asbury men's hoops (3-0) to their third straight home win, beating Alice Lloyd (4-1), 84-81 on Saturday afternoon in the Luce Center. 


* Winter had 19 points on 7-12 shooting with eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals
* Walden scored 18 points with three three-pointers, six boards, and three assists
* Caleb Wallis (14) and Ben McNew (13) each scored double-digit points
* Wallis had four rebounds with two assists, McNew dished three assists with three boards
* Alice Lloyd's Jack Brown scored 23 points (10-21) with three blocks

* Asbury started last season 7-0 before losing to Alice Lloyd in their eighth game
* AU has now won the last two matchups over Alice Lloyd, leading 24-17 in the overall series
* Asbury made seven three's, Alice Lloyd made two
* AU offense put up 46 points in the first half, holding Alice Lloyd to 37
* Asbury took the lead to 15 with 9:42 to go in the second half, 68-53
* Alice Lloyd tied the game at 76-76 with 2:56 remaining in the game


Asbury will travel to Louisville, Ky., on Tuesday night to meet Spalding University at 7 pm for their first away matchup.
