WILMORE, Ky. --- Asbury Athletics has announced this month's #TeamAU Alumni Feature, presented by KEMI (Kentucky Employers' Mutual Insurance), highlights a former Asbury student-athlete, Marcos De Ezcurra. Ezcurra graduated from Asbury in 2022, and was a very intregral part of AU's 2021 NCCAA National Championship team. Ezcurra, the Argentina native, currently is living his dream out and competing as a professional golfer. We asked him some questions about his time at AU and how it benefited his life!

What were the years of your time at AU?
I spent 4 years from 2018 to 2022.
What was your major and what sport did you play?
Business Administration and Golf
How did God use Asbury to impact your life?
During my time at Asbury, I was able to make lifelong friendships and was able to learn a lot that helped to expand and grow me as a person and a Christian.
What is your favorite Bible verse and why?
Philippians 4:6. It helped me thru some difficult times. Also, a friend gave me a wristband with the verse and I always have that with me.
What is your current occupation?
Professional Golf player
What is your favorite Asbury athletics memory?
I would say that when we won the NCCAA National Championship that was a special week for all of us and the team. Also, the last tournament of my senior year, where we won as a team and I won as an individual, it was just the perfect way to finish my time at Asbury.
Why would you encourage anyone to attend Asbury University?
I would say the the community that Asbury builds around campus is great for everyone here and helps you develop and also makes you feel like home.
