With one of her most impressive games of the season so far, Shearer recorded 24 points, nine steals, 10 FG's made, and 3 three's, all four being season-highs for her. Shearer shot 58% in the field and 100% past the arc.

Haleigh Releford and Tiffani Riley both followed with nine points each. Camryn Preston helped AU keep the Pioneers at bay, leading with seven rebounds and eight points of her own.

After a previous loss against Emory University, AU came into the game looking to start strong. Shearer helped lead that charge with seven points in the first. Haleigh Releford, Camryn Preston, and Kayla Harlow all put points up in the first to put AU on top at the end of the first 13-10.

Tiffani Riley was next in line to keep the Eagles pushing and led the second with six points. AU's defense held the Pioneers to just 11 while beating their score in the first with 17 on the board. The second ended with AU still up, 30-21.

The Eagles had their strongest offensive drive of the game in the third with 23 points. Trinity Shearer and Spencer Harvey combined to grab half of Asbury's points in the third. AU's defense continued to stand strong and held CH to only 12, keeping them on top 53-32 to end the second.

Despite the Pioneers late push in the fourth, AU still held them and outscored CH 17-15, resulting in a 70-48 win for the Eagles.

STORY - QUOTE
"Tonight we overcame a lot of challenges with the delayed start, to no fault of anyone, and then playing a team that was very motivated to play us. We were very happy with the outcome.

Trinity had an amazing floor game and then Relly and Spence played tremendous defense on Woods. Overall, our defensive effort continues to improve and we are excited about that!"
Head Coach | Chad Mayes

"I think after the first half we turned it up a notch in the third quarter! I know that I had a lot of steals but I couldn't have done it without my teammates trapping and playing as hard as they did! All around it was a good win, but I still think we have room to grow in all areas."
